How InteriorExotics collects, uses, and protects your personal information.
This Privacy Policy describes how InteriorExotics.com collects, uses, and discloses your Personal Information when you visit or make a purchase from the Site.
The Policy
Collecting Personal Information
When you visit the Site, we collect certain information about your device, your interaction with the Site, and information necessary to process your purchases. We may also collect additional information if you contact us for customer support. We refer to any information that can uniquely identify an individual as "Personal Information".
Device information — browser version, IP address, time zone, cookie information, products viewed, search terms, and how you interact with the Site. Collected automatically via cookies, log files, and pixels, to load the Site accurately and analyze Site usage. Shared with our processor, Shopify.
Order information — name, billing/shipping address, payment information, email, and phone number. Collected from you, to fulfill your order, process payment, arrange shipping, screen for fraud, and (in line with your preferences) share relevant offers. Shared with our processor, Shopify.
Customer support information — name, email, and phone number. Collected from you to provide customer support, and shared with a 3rd-party customer service agency.
Minors — We do not intentionally collect Personal Information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with Personal Information, please contact us to request deletion.
Sharing Personal Information & Behavioral Advertising
We share your Personal Information with service providers to help us provide our services and fulfill our contracts with you. For example, we use Shopify to power our store, and may share information to comply with applicable laws, subpoenas, or to protect our rights.
Behavioral advertising — We use your Personal Information to provide targeted advertisements. We use Google Analytics to understand Site usage (opt out here), and share information about your use of the Site with advertising partners. Learn more at the Network Advertising Initiative.
You can opt out of targeted advertising via Facebook, Google, or Bing, or through the Digital Advertising Alliance's opt-out portal.
Using Personal Information
We use your Personal Information to offer products for sale, process payments, fulfill orders, and keep you up to date on new products and offers.
Lawful basis (GDPR) — If you're in the EEA, we process your data under one of: your consent, performance of our contract with you, compliance with legal obligations, protecting your vital interests, public interest, or our legitimate interests.
Retention — We retain your Personal Information for our records unless and until you ask us to erase it.
Automatic decision-making — Shopify uses limited automated decision-making to prevent fraud (e.g. temporary denylisting of IP addresses or cards associated with repeated failed transactions), which does not have a legal or otherwise significant effect on you.
Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
GDPR (EEA residents) — You have the right to access, port, correct, update, or erase the Personal Information we hold about you. Contact us at interiorexoticsbusiness@gmail.com to exercise these rights. Your data is initially processed in Ireland, then transferred for storage and processing to Canada and the United States — see Shopify's GDPR Whitepaper.
CCPA (California residents) — You have the same rights of access, portability, correction, and erasure (the "Right to Know"). Contact us at interiorexoticsbusiness@gmail.com, including to designate an authorized agent.
Cookies
A cookie is a small amount of information downloaded to your device when you visit our Site. We use functional, performance, advertising, and content cookies to remember your preferences and understand how the Site is used.
Most of our cookies are persistent and expire between 30 minutes and two years from download. You can manage cookies through your browser settings (see allaboutcookies.org), though blocking cookies may affect your experience on the Site and won't fully prevent information sharing with advertising partners (see "Behavioral Advertising" above).
Do Not Track — Because there's no consistent industry standard for responding to "Do Not Track" signals, we do not alter our data practices when we detect one.
Changes & Contact
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons.
For questions, or to make a complaint about our privacy practices, contact us at interiorexoticsbusiness@gmail.com.
